Because Phineas isn’t like any of them, not even close. To spend ten minutes with the kid is to see life in a whole new way, his speech flows along like a hallway, pushing you to open as many doors as you can, and if you listen long enough, you can almost turn the knob on one of them, and if you listen long enough, you can almost see what’s behind the lock.
